Appearance[]

The grizzly gets its name from the gray hairs on its fur. It weighs up to 800 pounds.

Information[]

In Reality[]

The grizzly bear is a solitary animal, unless a female (sow) has cubs. During food abundances, such as salmon spawning in a stream, groups of bears will gather around and grab some. But like most bears, they also eat small mammals, fruits, berries, seeds, insects, birds' eggs, and roots. The competitors of the grizzly bear are coyotes, gray wolves, American black bears, and pumas. But a bear standing up on its hind legs and roaring can look really scary to predators.

Appearance in the show[]

In "Pack of Thornberrys"[]

A grizzly bear is first seen when he approaches Eliza, Darwin, and Donnie, whose hair is covered in marshmallows, which the bear smells. Mato and his gray wolf pack rush to the rescue. It's eight wolves to one bear, and the bear retreats into the woods.
